Voyage Sorgun is the hotel other Side resorts get measured against. It sits inside the Sorgun pine forest at Titreyengöl, about 3 km from ancient Side and 70 km from Antalya airport, on 87,000 m² of shaded grounds running down to a Blue Flag beach with two jetties. It has been operating since 1989 under Turkey’s Voyage Hotels group — it was Club Voyage Sorgun before the rebrand — and it has spent the intervening decades building the thing that keeps it at the top of TripAdvisor’s Side rankings: staff who are, by near-universal account, exceptional.

What it does not have is modern rooms. The bungalows in particular are small, dated and — going by 2025 reviews — laid with laminate flooring that moves under your feet. And while the ultra all-inclusive plan is broad and generous, five of the six themed a la carte restaurants are chargeable extras. Book Voyage Sorgun for the beach, the food, the pine trees and the service, price it in shoulder season, and it is one of the most enjoyable weeks you can buy in Turkey.

Main Building and Annex Rooms

The Hotel Room Land View and Hotel Room Sea View categories run around 29 m² in the five-storey Main Building, sleeping up to three, with balcony, individually controlled air conditioning, TV, safe, telephone and a minibar restocked daily with soft drinks and beer at no charge. Standard Garden Rooms in the annex are slightly smaller at around 24 m². These are the rooms to book. They are not stylish — the interiors are functional, cream-and-wood, unmistakably a refurbishment rather than a rebuild — but they are the largest and the best maintained.

Bungalows

The Bungalow Standard at roughly 23 m² and Bungalow Family Garden at 33 m² sit in two- and three-storey blocks scattered among the pines. The setting is lovely: you step out into forest, birdsong, dappled shade. The rooms themselves are the property’s genuine weak point. Recent guests describe them as dated and small for the price, with laminate flooring that flexes underfoot and does not clean up well. If you are paying peak-season money, this is not where you want to be.

Family Rooms and Suites

Hotel Family Rooms at around 49 m² give you two separate bedrooms and a shared bathroom for four — the sensible family booking and worth the supplement over a family bungalow. The Family Garden Room (33 m², two bedrooms) is the mid-point. At the top, the Suite at roughly 58 m² adds a living room and a jacuzzi. Accessible rooms are available.

Dining is where Voyage Sorgun earns its reputation, and it is also where you need to read the small print.

Degusto Main Restaurant

Degusto is the buffet, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and it presents Turkish and international cooking to a standard well above the Antalya average — proper mezze, good grills, a strong bread and pastry section, and themed evenings. Recent reviewers repeatedly single out the quality and variety here rather than merely tolerating it, which is unusual for a 600-room resort.

Cuisine 24 (the one that matters)

Cuisine 24 serves a la carte twenty-four hours a day and it is included in the rate. That is close to unique on this coast: most Turkish resorts give you a buffet and a snack counter after 11pm. Voyage will serve you a properly plated meal at 3am. The hotel’s own guidance is that one meal per stay can be taken there with a prior reservation, and it operates alongside a Chocolate Corner that opens at set hours through the day.

The Themed A La Cartes

There are five themed a la carte restaurants and all of them carry an extra charge: Wen (Chinese), Buzuki (Greek taverna), Carino (steakhouse), Vista (Italian) and Tepsi (Turkish). Guests rate them highly — the Turkish and Greek options draw the warmest reviews — but they are a paid add-on, not part of the ultra all-inclusive plan. The honeymoon package makes this explicit by offering “a free reservation for one of the charged a-la-carte restaurants” as a perk. Budget for two or three of these across a week if you are a food-led traveler.

Snacks, Patisserie and Bars

The snacking infrastructure is excellent: a proper Patisserie, Beach Snack and Pool Snack counters, a Gozleme corner making stuffed flatbreads to order, a Fruit Booth with seasonal and exotic fruit, and an Ice Cream Corner serving Wall’s. Bars run to a dozen: the Lobby Bar is open 24/7, the Beach Bar works 10am to 6pm, and there are dedicated pool, beach club, terrace, lounge, aquapark and spa vitamin bars. The clever touch is a QR-code ordering system on every table and sunbed, so you can order food and drink to your lounger rather than queue.

Food Quality Verdict

Among the best all-inclusive food in Side, with the significant caveat that the a la cartes are chargeable. If you eat only at Degusto and Cuisine 24 you will still eat very well.

Beach and Pools

The Beach

Voyage Sorgun fronts a Blue Flag beach about 100 m from the main building, backed by pine forest rather than concrete. It is sand-and-pebble rather than powder, and the standout feature is that there are two jetties: a Family Pier for everyone, and an Adult Jetty restricted to guests aged 16 and over, which is exactly the kind of thoughtful segregation Turkish resorts usually ignore. There is also a Lawn Beach — a large grass sunbathing area under the trees for anyone who has had enough of sand. Loungers, umbrellas and towels are provided.

Pools

Five pools, each with a stated purpose rather than five identical rectangles: the Main Pool, the Activity Pool where the animation team runs water games, the Praga Adult Pool for guests who want quiet, the Family Pool and the Kids Pool. There is also an indoor pool, useful in April and October, and an aquapark with water slides plus separate smaller slides for children. Sunbed availability is generally good given the number of separate pool areas.

Activities and Entertainment

Daytime

Four tennis courts, football pitches, beach volleyball, table tennis, mini golf, darts, aerobics and water gymnastics, plus non-motorized water sports including canoes, pedalos and windsurfing for certificate holders. Water skiing, parasailing, banana rides, diving, bowling and billiards are chargeable. The fitness centre at Sense Spa is well equipped and free. Side’s Roman theater and temple ruins are 3 km away, Manavgat and its waterfall 7 km, and Titreyengöl lake a short walk — a rare Turkish resort where the excursions are genuinely close.

Evening

Live music, shows and animation run nightly in the amphitheater, with a disco afterwards. The tone is festive rather than deafening — several reviewers describe a “warm, festive ambiance” — and the pine forest layout means noise carries less than at open-plan resorts.

Kids’ Club

Tugi Kids World is the children’s operation, a large colorful space with all-day activities split by age group, backed by a Funfair — an actual small fairground with rides — plus two kids’ pools, dedicated children’s slides, a children’s restaurant and buffet, high chairs and cots. The club covers roughly ages 4-12; babysitting is available on request and chargeable. Spa and Wellness

Sense Spa is a proper wellness center rather than a massage room with a candle. The treatment menu covers Ayurvedic therapies, aromatic oil massages, herbal treatments, regional and slimming programs, body care and skincare, plus a traditional Turkish bath ritual with scrubbing and foam massage. Facilities include sauna, steam bath, hammam and the fitness centre; the Turkish steam bath and treatments are chargeable, the gym is not. Honeymooners get 30% off couples massages as part of the honeymoon package, which also includes wine, fruit, dessert and nut plates on arrival, bathrobes and slippers, room decoration, one in-room breakfast and a free reservation at one of the paid a la cartes.

The Voyage Hotels site sells direct with a personal reservation assistant and bundles transfers and flights on request, and its early-booking terms are usually the best available. Booking.com lists it as “Voyage Sorgun Hotel” with strong couple ratings — location scores 9.6 for two-person trips. UK and European operators package it with flights, which is often cheaper all-in, but check whether any a la carte credits are included.

Compared to Nearby Resorts

Barut Hemera is the adults-only alternative in the same stretch of Side and the better booking if you want no children at all rather than merely an adults-only pool and jetty — it is calmer and cheaper, though the beach and grounds are less impressive. Acanthus & Cennet Barut Collection sits closer to Side town and wins on location: you can walk to the Roman ruins and the harbor, which you cannot do from Sorgun. Against both, Voyage Sorgun offers more space, better shade, more pools, a stronger kids’ operation and — the differentiator — a 24-hour included a la carte restaurant. Voyage Sorgun does the hard things well. Service that repeat guests write essays about, food that is a clear notch above the Antalya norm, a Blue Flag beach with a jetty you can escape the children on, five differentiated pools, an aquapark, a proper spa, and 87,000 m² of pine forest that makes an August afternoon survivable. The 24-hour included a la carte at Cuisine 24 is a small thing that turns out to matter enormously at 11pm with a hungry teenager.

The rooms hold it back. Thirty-seven years in, the bungalows in particular feel their age, and paying peak-season money for a 23 m² room with wobbly flooring is not a good trade. The chargeable a la cartes are a second, smaller deduction. Book a Main Building sea view or a Hotel Family Room, aim for late May or September, and this is comfortably one of the two or three best all-inclusive weeks available in Side — and a fixture in any honest ranking of the best all-inclusive resorts in Turkey.
