The difference is clearer than the marketing suggests. Regnum The Crown is the new, space-led resort, opened on July 1, 2025, with a 110 m² entry suite, a dedicated 18-plus rooftop and access to facilities at Regnum Carya. Maxx Royal Belek is the established all-rounder, operating since 2011 with 80 m² entry suites, a mature family and golf setup, and a Maxx Assistant assigned to guests.
Rates, restaurant access, golf, transfers, spa benefits and seasonal facilities change. Compare the same dates and room occupancy, then confirm the current rate and exactly what is included before booking.

Our overall verdict: choose Maxx Royal Belek if you want the safer, established all-rounder. Choose Regnum The Crown if the new suite, rooftop and extra space are the reasons you are willing to pay a premium.
First, correct the biggest misconception
Regnum The Crown is not an adults-only resort. Its official 2026 concept includes Bamboo Kids World for ages 4–12, a teen space for ages 13–17 and family access to Aqualantis waterpark. Children under four can use the children’s facilities with a parent or guardian under the resort’s stated rules.
What The Crown does have is a meaningful adults-only zone. The Seven rooftop combines an infinity pool, lounge, fitness space and selected dining and bar areas for guests aged 18 and over. That makes it attractive to couples who want family-resort facilities without spending every afternoon beside the main activity pool.
Maxx Royal Belek is also a family resort rather than an adults-only property. It separates moods through multiple pools, quieter spaces, the spa and a wide estate rather than through an adults-only hotel policy. Couples can be happy at either resort; neither should be booked as a child-free guarantee.
Rooms: Regnum wins on newness and entry-level space
The most objective difference is the room you receive before paying for an upgrade.

The Crown then moves through 125 m² Family Suites, 185 m² Grand Family Suites and 97 m² Amber Lagoon Suites with shared-pool access. Maxx Royal counters with 100 m² Family Suites, 100 m² Terrace Lagoon Family Suites with direct pool access and larger lagoon and villa categories.
Do not compare the cheapest headline rates without matching occupancy. A two-bedroom family suite at one resort is not comparable with a one-bedroom entry suite at the other. Put the final price, cancellation rules, beds, bathrooms and outdoor space on one line before deciding.
Room winner: Regnum The Crown for travelers choosing a standard suite. Maxx Royal remains competitive when its Maxx Assistant service or a specific lagoon layout matters more than raw square metres.
Food and drink: breadth versus an established rhythm
Regnum The Crown’s Summer 2026 document lists a very broad dining programme: a main buffet, child-focused restaurants, multiple international à-la-carte venues, casual outlets, beachfront restaurants, bakeries and a 24-hour lobby bar. Dinner reservations are required at several restaurants. The same concept also grants access to restaurants and bars at Regnum Carya, although selected items and experiences carry additional charges.
Maxx Royal’s strength is easier to understand over a seven-night stay. Its current official dining pages feature Twenty4 for around-the-clock à-la-carte food, Jay Lounge Bar with 24/7 service, Seavoré, Kalamatas and Safraan, plus signature restaurants, a chocolatier, patisserie and Mövenpick ice cream.
The Crown offers the more ambitious venue map on paper. Maxx Royal offers the more established operating rhythm. A long list does not guarantee that every restaurant opens every night, so ask both resorts for the schedule covering your actual stay.
Dining decision: choose The Crown if discovering a new venue each evening is part of the appeal. Choose Maxx Royal if 24-hour service and a proven food-and-drink routine matter more than the total count.
Pools, beach and waterpark
Regnum’s official 2026 concept describes a 450-metre private beach, several large pools, the adults-only rooftop pool and access to Aqualantis. The waterpark includes a 2,400 m² wave pool, slides and children’s zones. Beach facilities are officially seasonal, with the 2026 document listing May 1 through October 31 and warning that pools or heating can change with weather and occupancy.
Maxx Royal publishes a varied pool lineup including a main pool, lagoon pool, seawater pool, adult deep pool, indoor pools, suite-specific pools and an aquapark. Its appeal is not one headline pool but the ability to choose a different atmosphere across the estate.
Families choosing solely for slides should compare the operating dates and minimum height rules, not just promotional photos. Couples should compare the Crown’s 18-plus rooftop against the room location and quieter pool options available at Maxx Royal.
Families: a closer contest than it appears
Regnum The Crown has the newer family hardware. Its official programme separates children aged 4–12 and teens aged 13–17, while its two-bedroom suites and waterpark access solve the practical parts of a family week.
Maxx Royal has the more established programme. Maxxi Land separates age groups, includes a children’s restaurant and sits alongside the aquapark and family-oriented suite inventory. The resort’s advantage is operational maturity: families are not an add-on to the concept.
For toddlers, verify supervision rules and paid babysitting before booking either property. A “kids club” can mean accompanied play for one age and supervised drop-off for another.
Family verdict: Maxx Royal is the lower-risk choice for a first family visit. The Crown is more compelling when a larger new suite and Aqualantis access outweigh the shorter operating history.
Couples: The Crown has the clearer differentiator
Neither property is child-free, but The Crown’s adults-only rooftop gives couples a specific escape that Maxx Royal does not replicate in exactly the same way. It is the stronger choice for travelers who want a large all-inclusive by evening and an 18-plus pool-and-lounge environment by day.
Maxx Royal suits couples who prefer established service, golf, a larger resort rhythm and a personal assistant over a single adults-only zone. Room placement matters at both properties; ask for distance from evening entertainment if early nights are important.
Golf, spa and costly assumptions
Maxx Royal is paired with the Montgomerie Maxx Royal course. Regnum The Crown’s 2026 information references access to Carya and National golf-club facilities and full access to Regnum Carya’s resort facilities. That does not mean every green fee, buggy, lesson or transfer is included in every hotel rate.
The same caution applies to wellness. The Crown lists complimentary hammam, sauna, steam, relaxation and pool facilities, while treatments, therapies and premium spa spaces cost extra. Maxx Royal promotes personalized Maxx Wellbeing programmes, but spa treatments and packages should be priced separately unless the booked offer states otherwise.
Golfers should request a written package quote from each resort. Non-golfers should not pay extra for a golf-branded hotel unless its room, food and pool experience also wins the comparison.
The same-date value test
There is no honest universal answer to which resort is cheaper. Live rates change by date, country, occupancy, cancellation terms and room category. Use this five-step test instead:
- Price the same seven nights and the same number and ages of guests.
- Match the nearest equivalent room layout, not merely the cheapest room name.
- Use the same cancellation flexibility and meal concept.
- Add airport transport, golf, spa, cabanas and any paid dining you expect to use.
- Divide the final difference by the number of nights.
Our rule of thumb: if The Crown costs only modestly more and you actively value the 110 m² suite, new design and rooftop, the premium can be rational. If the gap is substantial and those features are not central to the trip, Maxx Royal is the stronger value because its core service and facilities are already the point of booking.

Choose Regnum The Crown for the newest flagship experience in Belek: a 110 m² entry suite, contemporary public spaces, an adults-only rooftop within a family resort, extensive dining and access to Regnum Carya facilities. It is the more interesting choice for returning Belek visitors who already know the established names.
Choose Maxx Royal Belek for the safer all-round luxury booking: an established Maxx Assistant service, 80 m² entry suites, a mature family programme, 24-hour dining and a resort identity built around golf as well as the beach.
